Honey Summers

Honey Summers is a debut author based in the United States. She has been a storyteller for as long as she can remember. The child with the bowl cut who was always coming up with stories to amuse her family has grown into an author with a wider audience in mind.

With a deep interest in horror, psychology, and the darker complexities of human behavior, Honey has always been drawn to stories that unsettle as much as they captivate. Her debut novel, Just You And Me, is the product of that fascination and is a deliberate attempt to intertwine the emotional intensity of dark romance with the psychological tension of the thriller genre, creating something that lives comfortably in neither category and uncomfortably in both.

The book is also the product of over two years of writing and research. Writing New York from the outside as someone who has never called the city home, Honey was determined to write a realistic experience with no breaks in immersion. She interviewed and read the writings of New York residents and seasoned partiers about their lived experiences, immersing herself until it felt as real on the page as in life. To authentically render the financial and corporate world at the heart of the story, she drew on her husband’s expertise (as well as his love for cars); his professional knowledge helped her shape the world her characters move through. That same dedication shaped the psychological complexity of her characters, reflecting years of careful study into human behavior and the darker corners of the human condition, drawn either from lived experience or from what she has learned through conversations with those around her.

In addition to her wonderfully supportive husband, she also shares her home with two cats who have opinions about everything, including her writing hours.
